About Me : Daniel O'Connell
Daniel O’Connell has made music the defining thread of his career. His journey began in 2004 as a musician for Dubies, a period spanning 15 years during which the band recorded three albums and toured extensively across Argentina and Europe—notably winning the Rototom Sunsplash Contest in 2012. This era served as a masterclass in the intricate nuances of the creative process.
O’Connell solidified this foundation with a degree in Sound Engineering (Cetear, 2007) before establishing “312 Estudio” in Rosario, Argentina. For a decade, the studio served as his creative headquarters, where he engineered hundreds of productions for prominent artists such as Rosario Smowing, Coki & the Killer Burritos, and Carmina Burana.
Driven by an unwavering commitment to excellence, Daniel has traveled globally to learn from industry legends including Geoff Emerick, Moses Schneider, and Daniel Ovie. He further refined his craft at prestigious institutions such as SAE Barcelona and the London School of Sound.
In 2022, following a decade of continuous evolution, he launched O’Connell Mastering in the vibrant city of Barcelona, Spain. His methodology rejects shortcuts, favoring an artisanal fusion of high-end analog warmth and digital precision—a combination he deems essential for unlocking the full potential of every track.
His objective remains clear: to craft a sound that moves people and creates a genuine connection between the artist and their audience, polishing every project until it resonates with its own unique light.
